Need help to ID taillight assembly

09 May 2009 18:39 - 09 May 2009 18:47
#289521
I dug through two huge boxes of dirty tail light assemblies at my local bike salvage yard and came up with a good fit for my modified tail section on the KZ650. It needed little modification and I’m very pleased with the results. Problem is, I have no idea what bike it came off of. If I knew what it came off of, I would keep an eye out for a spare. If any one can ID this taillight, I would be much obliged. It has the word "Koito" with the numbers 220-32365 DOT 85

Another pic from the back side. As you can see, this light needed a wee bit of modification but it fits like it was made for mounting under the KZ650 fender. Dig my home made bracket. A hacksaw, hammer and a rusty file was all I needed. Well, a little cursing always seems to help too.

You can see I'm not very good at making brackets or working this forum posting thing.

Actually, that really does fit nicely. Sorry I can't identify the light.

I'm thinking it might be off something with a small motor because a lot of larger bikes came with two bulbs in the tail lights. Yes, I too think it's from the mid eighties.
