Tach adapter for dulcimerbob

This is what I use with the Sunpro minitach. The Sunpro minitach registers over 10,000 RPM, but only has artwork up to 8000.
The Sunpro is very susceptible to vibration so you have to really shock mount it well. I actually cut it open and silicone the internal structure to stop it from vibrating.
Then I seal the whole thing in electrical tape. It's made it through a few rainstorms so far with no problem.

The sense wire is the one that was originally to go to the ignition coil. The instructions for the tach will tell you which wire it is. If I recall, I believe the Sunpro uses a green wire as the sense wire, but it's been a long time so I could be wrong.
