2 microfarad is pretty small. I wouldn't recommend that. If the pulses are not smoothed out enough, it can cause the regulator to work improperly. Several found out the hard way. Bulbs melt, electronics can blow up etc.

Hey- I have always been a big fan of this no battery thing for an urban streetfighter thing. But I want to know- can a higher output altenator be fabbed for the Z1 900?

How do you get more amps out of an altenator? Is it the physical wraps of the wiring?

cruising ram.how about the alternator off a newer kz 79-80 youll have to use the newer style cover though?;)
