wiring harness

QUick Question.
I am looking at an 83 750 LTD wiring harness, and I was wondering if it would work wiht my 81 750. And also, would a 650 wiring harness work on my 81 750?

You would probably have the best luck with 83 750 wiring harness. The 650 will be quite a bit different, you could make it work but.... I believe the 80's Ltd's have an IC igniter as the older 650's don't.
The handlebar controls are also different.
You could make anything work, it just depends on much time/effort you want to put into it.

I had to put a harness on a 82 kz550a3, and bought a harness for an 81 kz550. Completely different. After many cross eyed hours staring at wiring diagrams for same year, different year harnesses they all have slight differences. Hard to find the right harness tho, got lucky with a salvage yard in conneticut. Go with the right one.

Well I guess I'me not sure what to do because the fram is from a 78 650, along with the controls, but the motor is an 81 750. kinda a mut i guess, along with many miscellaneous gixxer parts.
