Stator coating scratched
09 Oct 2007 17:27
My stator has a couple very small scratches (1/8in or less) in the outer coating from the accident. I'm not getting a new one just for that. What can I use that will stand up to the heat? My wife has nail polish but doubt that will work. A thin layer of Gorilla Glue? What will work? Thanks... John

Some regular old varnish will do nicely.

Varnish? My next door neighbor refinishes old furniture. Would he most likley have some? It stands up to engine heat? Thanks..
