Stator install - a little help

ok, so i've bought a new stator for my ride and it has finally arrived. looking for any words of wisdom before i jump right in and mess something up. Anybody have any tips, pointers, common mistakes they've made?

i've read the manual a few times and it really doesn't sound too bad, even for me, but still i thought i'd throw it out there and see what i get.

thannks!!!

Put a oil pan under the housing before you start and make sure you have a new gasket. Other than that it is easy-until you break a bolt taking the stator out. :P

the old stator was hooked up with three connectors which i had to disconnect to remove the stator. Now, do I just directly install the new stator using the long yellow leads provided or do i cut the wires and make three new connections?

I can't believe that I actually have something to offer here:) Make sure that you seal the wires where they come through the grommet otherwise you'll get a pesty oil leak (and oily left shoe/boot). I replaced my stator cover twice with new gaskets to stop the leak until I figured out the oil was coming through the holes that the wires were running through. Also seal up the grommet.
