Thanks for the info and pics, I will double check eveything prior to installation.
Not sure how the points ended up in the bike but I have confirmed the serial # is KZ750EE0000772 which means it is a 1980. Maybe being a Canadian model ? not sure.
I'm going to take the bike apart for the off season and sandblast and paint. Its currently a bright orange and sorry but a race Kawi has the be GREEN!!!

You realize that contradicts the Kawasaki parts diagrams, the Factory Service Manual, the Haynes manual, and the Clymer manual?
Oh yeah, forgot about all the articles and reviews in the bike mags.
If your bike left the dealer with points instead of electronic ignition, then it's likely that the dealer swapped it out for 650 parts.
