No can see the post unless they scroll way down. Use the URL button for board code to make it like this:

If you hit the "quote" button, you'll see what I did, or, hopefully a mod will come in and fix your link.
Anyway, the LTD frame is different so the harness will be different. The wires will be different lengths and some components may be in different locations. Also, any 25 year old harness may have the same problems yours does. Most harnesses have broken wires in the same areas... like near the steering column.

If you've got a colored version of the wiring diagram for your bike, the desire/time/ability to do it, you could always fab another wire harness with all NEW wiring and connectors for your bike and be (at least electrically) trouble-free.
A bonus is you that can remove a lot of redundant and unused wiring/connectors that Kawi installed to simplify your "new" harness.
There are quite a few members here who have already done this on their bikes. And I'm sure they, as well as loudhvx would be more than happy to guide you through it if you have any questions or probs.

Yes, this is the way to go, if you ask me. It takes some time and planning but you'll be better off for it, in my opinion. Upgrade the wire gauge in some areas as you go along.

I think the difference is that the LTD's have running lights on the blinkers.
