2007 z taillight

Hey, I unfortunatly sold my '79 kz1000, and bought a new 2007 z1000! The new one is amazing!!! But I do miss my 79:( Anyway, want to skip buying a $200 fender eliminator kit. I want to relocat the license plate and turn my current led taillight into a taillight/turnsiganl intergration. Does anybody think thats possible? Do I have to remove the circuit board and resolder the led's and splice in the turn signal wires? Or am I beat, and have to spend alot of dough for the kit. thankx. I get some pics of my '79 kz before I sold it, and some pics of the new z when I get a chance.

Check out Clear Alternatives or Lockhart Phillips for Intergrated T.S./Taillights. I can't remember the price but they were cheaper than $200.
