Hi all,

I'm about to replace my (acid leaking) battery. I'm uneducated about the brands and reasonable pricing in this market.

All I have so far is:

www.ebatteriestogo.com/landing_pages/powersport/UB14L-2.htm

Are any of these brands good? Are there better ones? Are these reasonable prices?

Thanks as usual guys! :cheer:

Unfortunately, I do not know the answer to any of your questions.

However, I can offer that I just go up to my local AutoZone, and pay much less than that for a generic battery that seems to last quite a while when well cared for (like a Battery Tender, which is what I use, or similar). Once I had what I think was a bad battery off the shelf, and they replaced it, no questions.

My thinking is this: As long as it works, fits (poles on the correct sides, correct height, width, etc.), holds a charge, and holds together, it's fine for me. Sometimes you need special batteries for special applications (like if you're mounting it on its side, etc), but not me....

I've always just grabbed some cheap YUASA or what have you from the shelves as Biquetoast mentioned. Never had a problem.

Unless you have a specialized application or you want to try to up your specs (are you mean to your battery? neglectful? pull a TON for a really hard starter? call it names?)
