Does anyone know if I can swap EN500 coils into my '79 KZ750? I got these for free, they are from a bike that only had 2500 miles on it. I just dont know what the specifics are of these coils.
Any insight would be great,
Thanks,
Jay

you should match resistance readings, the replacement coils should have lower or less resistance than the ones you are replacing never more or you can burn up your ignition system

It's the other way. Coils with too little resistance will burn up points or ignitions. Your 79 750 is probably points. In that case, those coils will shorten the life of the points, unless you also use a ballast resistor.
