Stator Magnetism
17 Jun 2007 17:29
So, I did a bit of testing from everything I have read. When I connect an ac volt meter between the yellow wires from the stator I get at idle .3 VAC. Not good.
at least all of them are the same...
Anyways, I am suspect that it might be the magnet. It is very weak and barely pulls a screwdriver towards it.
Has anyone ever heard of this before? Perhaps I am doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Ain't that bad a question... the magnet can go dead (lose magnetism) if you bang it hard with a hammer or heat it. I have had to replace them in the past.
