Dyna Coil Short

Riding today and I lost my 2-3 cyl.Got it home and found the upper coil wire screw was shorting against the mounting post.I had to remove the lock washers on both coils. Has any one else had this occur?

not yet, but i just installed new dana's and the instructions warn of this .
76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.
01 CBR600F4i Track bike.

I've seen that happen on a few bikes, not just KZ's.
1981 KZ550 D1 gpz.
