I was out in the sticks riding the other night (lots of bugs out there!) and decided I would like to see better so I ordered the H4 halogen light housing and bulb from JCWhitney. It came a few days ago and last evening when I was putting it on of course I unscrewed the adjuster out all the way when I took it off. When I re-installed I did get it eye-balled left to right even.I looked in my manual but it is very general on the adjustment procedure. I would like someone with more experience (that includes almost everyone but me) to give me their ideas on how they do it. I remember I had an actual aiming level/tool to adjust headlight on cars that you would get a set distance from a wall and measure and adjust it. A search in the forums didn't turn up anything for me.

Hi Neil, how's it going? B)
That looks good, I think I might give that a try. Got some helpers here at the station today too!

Umm just checked the ol' owners manual for my 750E and it said 2" low at 25' so seems they want you to be seeing the road right out in front of your tires !!!

I think if you set it at 25ft the high beam will be too high.

I remember setting a light at 25ft once, but I used something different as a reference, I think it was the CENTER of the high beam light, not the top of the flat light pattern of the LOW beam.

Have always set best (for me) high beam on a long dark lonesome road, and let low beam take care of itself. :)

Oh yeah, I keep my headlight just tight enough to move with my hand with some force. I was on a night ride and the low beam blew. I had to nudge the lamp down a bit to keep the high beam from blinding drivers.
