This may sound odd, but I have not owned a motorcycle w/o a fairing in about 20 years, and I want to put together a setup for my GPZ that would not include the fairing. So I look on ebay, see some stuff that I like from stock bikes, but I cannot see how these mount up to forks.

Looks like they are mostly "half shell", is there some sort of mounting pieces that I don't see.

I know that I can get the Acerbis headlight kits for offroad bikes with the rubber straps, and I dig that, but the headlight brightness could be an issue I feel.

Thanks in advance.

My best suggestion would be to figure out what look you like and then go to the Kawasaki site and look at the parts diagram for that model to see just what you need.

You will need a set of "headlight ears". These are tubes that slide over your fork tubes, in between the triples, and have a mounting tab that extend forward for the headlight bucket. I just bought a kick ass set on eBay for $40.00 ... there are certainly cheaper sets out there.
