Ok, I have a wierd question.

I have just been given a 1979 kz650b that has been sitting for a while. I want to see if it all works (last owner never tried to start it) before I start working on it. So heres my question. Can I use a battery from a kz1000 just to test the eletricals on the 650.

I would just hook up the terminals if they reach and see it lites up. If so, then I have no problem going ahead and buying it its own battery.

Any suggestions? thanks!!!

You can use the KZ1000 battery. The main reason it can't be used in the long term is more its physical size and location of the terminals more than the amount of juice it puts out...
