Well, *one* of the plugs says different. Besides, air leaks can manifest themselves unpredictably...

And, in truth, your work has only begun. Remember, this all was to get you a good *baseline* for setting the other things: rebalance the carbs, set pilots, timing, etc....

Would you say that starting the bike and having it idle 15-20 minutes (no revving) and shutting it off to check the plugs is a good enough way to tell if the pilots need adjusting? Maybe do this process a few times? I figure they only do the idle circuit right?

I don't think its good to leave it running sitting still like that. It sure would get hot... Why not put-put around the neighborhood at low rpm?

Can someone tell me where to find the original instructions for doing the coil relay modification? I've searched but all I come up with is someone in the middle of doing the modification. Must be a topic in here where it was told how to do it from the beginning. Interested in doing it myself but can't find the original text. Where did you guys hide it?
1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

Please see this thread for an explanation...

...and by the way, it is commonly referred to as the "coil mod" around here, so if you search for that you'll find tons...
