The Needles are not stock and there are no markings on them. They feel like aluminum, and also have 6 notches for circlip. They were on the lowest setting. The K&L kit probably comes with 5 position needles. I think "stock" would be the middle position, 3rd down. It was suggested to lift the needle so that would be 4th down?

I am by no means an expert on Mikuni needles but agree that is not like any I have seen or had in my hands. It might be interesting to learn of it size(s). Overall length, what sort of taper(s) it may have and some diam from different locations of the needle.

I can easily measure that for sure. I don't have a very accurate caliper though just a digital one from Harbor Freight.
measured at appx. 7mm spacing (distance between lined paper)at the top of the black marks.

Thanks for that. It appears to be a single tapper. If I am not mistaken the stock needle was shorter and had 2 tappers. It appears that in the US the stock needle was a 4BC6 or in Can was a 4BC7. I assume the US version is non adjustable and the one in Can is adjustable.
Anyway I have pulled down the data and once again say thanks for providing it.

" I assume the US version is non adjustable and the one in Can is adjustable. "
That's my understanding as well. I imagine rebuild kits just include the Canadian version with the adjustability as I haven't seen a kit with only one circlip position. Just received my K&L rebuild kits # 18-2902. Unfortunately only 3 arrived instead of 4, the 4th is MIA per seller. Can't complain I paid less than $10 ea. Measured the needle in one of the kits same way as before. There's a chance I can get the stock needles from my friend who gave me the bike. If he can find them. If so i'll measure those as well since i'm on a roll!
