Here's a place that claims they have part #16012-1001
www.houseofkawasaki.com/oempartfinder.ht...-A2-1982%2f070070C-7
If it turns out that they don't really have them, here's a place that has 1 of the caps (they show a picture). They're in Great Britain, but I wouldn't think it would cost very much to ship such a small part. I know you need 2, but if you can only get new old stock one you might be able to fabricate a duplicate one for the other carb. Ed

Go to Z1enterprises.com and type "pilot cap" in the search box and hit enter.
You will see 3 results returned . I have an order in transit at the moment for a pack of 4 plugs for a GS. They are tapered and I expect will be a bit to big for my carbs based on measurement of the hole with a digital caliper but I am hoping that | can somehow sand then down to fit. I think I picked up this tip on KZ400.com
The bad news is that I may have bought the last pack as the website says temporarily out of stock but one of the other types might work for you.
My real problem is with the O rings for the pilot plugs and I also have some on order which just might work and so ultimately I am hoping not need the GS plugs. If that turns out to be the case then you are welcome to have the plugs if you still need then and want to try. However I dont expect to receive these caps and o rings until the end of next week so wont know what works and what doesn't until then.
EDIT the GS pilot caps/ plugs did not work. They fell out after a week.

Ordered a set from HOK. With $10 in shipping, 2 of them came to $20. Hope they come through!

They are out of stock at HOK.
Any update on the caps from Z1 JR? I am going to measure tonight and see if I can make a set of those fit.

Hi trietz
I think this may be a case of fortunately unfortunately.
I got my delivery yesterday which was a couple of days earlier than expected and to my surprise none of the O rings worked - either to loose or to fat - but the caps did. So I pressed them in and rode around last night and some more today and they seem to be working just fine so I am sorry to say that they are not available for donation.
This is what I ordered
www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDetails.aspx?i...84%29&item=KL18-4689
$8.48 for a pack of 4
Unfortunately it looks like Z1 Enterprises are out of stock though ou might be able to get them from a Suzuki dealer or some other supplier
Below is a photo I took yesterday evening. I'll give them a few weeks and if they continue to work out I'll probably post the information as it might be useful to others.
Sorry again to hit you with bad news

Update from my post a of last week.
Ultimately those suzuki GS pilot caps/plugs were not a success. They worked fine for a week and then this morning the bike started coughed sputtered and died and when I opened the carbs I found 3 out of the 4 caps had fallen out. And the spark plugs were wet with gas. - to much gas
Oh well. It was worth a try
Dug out the fat o rings put them on the old polyester caps and filed them down with Emory board until they fit.. hope it works

New coil came. Getting good spark, starts right up. Good power throughout, just won't idle smoothly. Can't tell of its a fuel or ignition issue.
Fuel wise, I noticed the carbs were missing the pilot plugs. Put those in. So maybe the small hole by the main jet that feeds the pilot system isn't completely clear?
The plugs I got were from a different bike, but I shaved them to fit.
