Just wondering how exactly you created a base map. you have to start somewhere to get it to fire up so you can proceed to tune it to the correct AF ratio....
thx!

That is way cool, I have thought about putting a system on my bike, you stepped up to the plate and did it;)
what are you using for a air flow sensor and air temp sensor?

does anyone have a dyno that you could run the bike on and tune it that way?

The MegaSquirt does not use a airflow sensor, it runs Speed Density, AlphaN, or a combo of the two.

Regarding getting the engine started, instructions are HERE

Pretty much anything and everything you need/wish to know is in the MegaManual

Im using the std Megasquirt map sensor although Im running Alpha-N which doent use the map sensor in the algoritim other than at start up. I am using small ntc thermisterd for the Inlet air temp and the engine temp as I didnt like he idea of using the big car sensors as they would stand out to much.

Hey Dave, did you open up the ports in the head to match the ID of the GPz1100 throttlebodies? It looks to me like they need to be ~1/4" (6mm or so) larger in ID.

HI Steve, yep I opened them out to match the 1000J carb rubbers, tapered them down to the 650 port. I also had to file the bolt holes to get them to fit on the head

I picked up a couple of carbide aluminum cutting burrs today, so as soon as I have time I'll start on the head. I still need four exhaust valve guides and a 7mm reamer though, I have the intake guides already.
