what is the fuel line size for my 750R1? not the length but the inside diameter. i bought one today at auto zone which is fatter then my old on but i think the inside diameter is a little bigger then the old one and i think that is whats causing my fuel leak between #2 and #3 carbs.

The fat stiff heavy-duty reinforced automotive fuel line is designed for pressurized fuel delivery systems, and is imo a poor choice for gravity-fed motorcycle application. And more difficult to fit and properly route within the bike's limited space.

I prefer high quality grey-line kink-resistant tubing (or small tygon hose as second choice).

The grey-line is often available at tool rental businesses (they want to minimize fuel line issues by fitting the best fuel line available). Expect to pay $1 or more per foot.

Can't remember which exact size i.d. I found to be the best fit, but likely 1/4" or 5/16", maybe 9/32". Being uncertain, I just got enough of each size to do the job.

The oem hose i.d. is probably measured in mm instead of fractional inch, and likely difficult to find, and imo not as durable as the grey-line hose or tygon hose.

Where hose is slightly too tight, may soften the end by dipping it in a cup of near boiling temperature water just before attaching it to the fitting.

Sorry I don't know the best fractional inch inside diameter fuel line size for 750R1.

Good Fortune!:)

i paid 1.19 a ft for 5/16" at autozone. i think your right with OEM being in mm. what is the gray stuff called so ill know what to ask for? would a hose and hydraulic place carry it? i have a few of them around here. i still have the old one i can take with me to cross reference it. also i see you made a bid loop so im guessing you fuel intake is facing down? mine is facing up on my BS34's.

The intake fuel pipe (Tee fitting) on smoothbores moves through a limited arc from up to down.
Routing on Z1 with in-line filter seemed easier with the loop and contending with the large automotive style oil cooler lines.

Would think that a hydraulic place would have little use for much of anything besides heavy duty high pressure lines.

Good Fortune! :)
