KZ750 Ltd Carbs from Ebay UK
16 Aug 2011 16:33
Hi
I bought these carbs on Ebay UK for £81. Very good condition and just been refurbished & ultrasonically cleaned. The carb bodies are painted black which I think must have been done by a previous owner as I have only ever seen them as bare aluminium. I will remove the paint anyway.
Question is they are different from my original carbs in that they have holes in the choke plates- see picture 2. Will this make a great deal of difference? Are they from a later or different model from my 81 kZ750

I think some of the later 750s .....gpz750 ? had black carbs. I'm guessing they are Mikuni which would be a sure sign of a later 750. Not sure if the holes would have any ot much effect. I guess you would just have to try them out

The black GPz carbs were Mikuni. Kawi only put the Keihin carbs on the lower performance bikes.

They are Keihin carbs so I can only assume that they have been painted by a previous owner. Non factory paint should make for easy stripping. I will then drop them in my ultrasonic cleaner, they should then look shiney and new- I will post a picture when done.
