Would be more suspicious of a dirty float valve as the most common cause of float bowl overflow.
Typically crud or grit between the float needle's pointed tip and the orifice in the float seat.
Where seats are removable, each float needle is supposed to remain with its own particular seat.
Mismatching the needles and seats during reassembly may result in failure to completely seal, which allows excess fuel to enter the float bowl.
Might try this --- With engine idling (and fuel discharging from the overflow hose), use a plastic mallet or large screwdriver handle to rap smartly and repeatedly against the float bowl. Which sometimes helps the float valve to resume fully sealing.
Good Fortune!

My bike will not run worth a damn when the battery is dead (or near dead) even though the charging system works well. If your battery is shot replace it or you'll be chasing all kind of ghost problems. Ed

Should be. I've always used Sears Die Hards with good results. Ed

walmart would not le t me ruturn the battery i had bought about 4 weeks ago, no receipt, but they did test it for me and said that it was ok just needed a charge, i came home and put it on the charger(slowest setting, 2amp) when i went to the bike to do some cleaning, i happened to turn the gas on and gas came out of the overflow, as well as the breather line, eventually it quit, but theat sure was a lot of gas, that carb was FULL, hope everyhtings ok, ill know in a few hours when the battery is done(hopefully)

You should try to track down the fuel overflow problem so it doesn't happen again; it could be dangerous. Also, check your oil for fuel contamination. If that much came pouring out of the carbs some may have gone into the engine as well. Ed
