Syphon a little out through the filler hole and give it the sniff test. Also, you might try to see if a capfull will light with a match, although it would probably take a high percentage of gas to do so. Ed

what should i do if there is gas in there?, drain it out a refill it?
1979 kz750 twin cyl.

if it has gas in the oil , definitely replace it as it will be severely reduced viscosity
