The 29s are a great carb I have a set at $125 for both sets the bottom set are 26s you are far ahead of the game the 29s are worth about $600 to $700 as is even if they have broken jet blocks which happens when the main jet is overtightened so if you get em and take em apart be very careful whith the main jets they were a after market HP peice back then and the thing that was cool about em was you could change jets without removing the bowls.the jets are accessable after the drain plugs are removed.
I still like the CR 33s I have more though. Thanks MKII

I was gonna get CR's but they were on a 3 month back order in September when I was shopping for new ones. So I ordered the RS34's instead. Ironically, I got them right after fucking Christmas.

 a hammer. Good use for them. You may be able to get a patent for the BS34 hammer. Then you could buy all the VM29s in the world

I picked up a set of 35 CRs but haven't had a chance to bolt them up yet...can't wait to try them though. I went back to VM33's and I'm much happier than when I had those rattle clacking pos RS34's. Wasn't impressed with those at all. I did like the set of 29's I had several years ago....sold them to a guy in Germany on eBay for $400. That was big money for them 5 years ago!
$125 for a set of smoothbores is a steal for sure. Congrats Buckeye! Hey, with a name like that are you in Ohio? Maybe I could have found those carbs first!

I am in OH. I'm in the suburbs of Dayton. Where at in CLE are you from? My Dad was born and raised in Lakewood and I'm a life-long Browns/Indians fan. I catch hell from it that I'm not a Reds/Bengals fan (if Bengals fans REALLY exist...I hear they are a myth...kinda like a unicorn) since I live 40 min from Cincy and work in Cincy. I attribute that to the fact that I have HEART and COMMON SENSE, which would make me an outsider at Bengals games  I found the carbs by mistake. A guy was selling his '79 LTD 1000 that he picked up with spares from a neighbor lady of his after her husband passed away. It came with a bunch of spares and the husband never had the chance to mount these carbs. They look hardly (if at all) used and the guy I got them from thought they were normal, run-of-the-mill KZ carbs and had no idea what a "smoothbore" even was. LOL
