Hi KZers,

Does anyone have a clue where to find the rubber carb boots that connect the airbox with the carb? Mine are hard as rocks. I have an 83 KZ550 F1 Spectre with TK carbs.

I've searched far and wide online and can't seem to find them. Ebay has nothing either.

Thanks for the help,

Andy

I like www.bikebandit.com part # 14073-1083. They list them at $10.74 each. Hopefully can be ordered, although you never know availability until you order.

I get my stuff from these guys at Z1:

www.z1enterprises.com/company.aspx

Very knowledgeable and fast shipping. My new boots made a big difference in access. I got the spring retainers at the same time which had gone missing on mine.

Best of success!

But they are usually cheaper at Z1 Enterprises than on eBay.

Only problem is these were only used on KZ550F1,F2 and M1 and Z1 does not have them. Unless they have another Kawasaki part # that's a more universal part that fits. All 4 intake rubbers are the same part number on this bike, not the same as KZ650, earlier 550 or any other Kawasaki.

You sure about that part # Ron? I tried it several times searching for both OEM and aftermarket but no success. Oh, and will these fit the TK's used on the 550 F1?

Thanks

Yes, 14073-1083 is the number. It's listed at bikebandit for $10.74 each. Like I said though, virtually every part Kawasaki ever made still has a price, but may or may not be still available. I don't understand that. I tried to order H2 parts like 20 yrs ago and they were no longer available, yet even today the stuff is still listed with a price like you can buy it. Yea right.

Yeah, you were right about the number. It wouldn't accept the dash when I did a parts search. That was the hangup.
