Kawasaki Spectre KZ1100 head

Just for a time saving measure. A Friend brought this over, leaking like crazy around cylinder and head. Has quite a few miles on it. Curious if anyone has a head already gone thru/checked for quick transplant? Don't need oversized valves or anything fancy. New properly installed/reamed valve guides, stock valves with good margins, properly cut valve seats, checked for warpage and surfaced. The good stuff. Also verifiable matching cam caps and no helicoils.  I will eventually get to this one but i live in the sticks and it takes soo long to get into town.. PM me, Clay

Hi Clay (I may be wrong) but I was under the impression that some Spectres share the "bath tub" head from the later GPZ ?????

Not too familiar with the "J" engine variations Wookie but think the bathtub head was reserved for the GPZ 1100 only? This is a true 1982, nothing altered. Maybe a Shaft (A) model would interchange too, difference being paint?

Hi Clay, see below link. Looks like the ZN and 1100R didn't get the later head until 84
