Hi Clay, awesome 👍👍
Joe in Germany found me a KMH speedo but the glass had been swapped out. I didn’t want to use my original speedo for parts so thought I would see if I could source a replacement glass.
You are my hero 😂😂
I had hand surgery on Tuesday so am out of action for 6 weeks, bored already and trying to do things with my left hand only is a challenge, so no polishing for a while ha ha.
Thanks mate,
Rich.

Joe is AWESOME, Kudos to Joe! Swapped out? Can you see where someone had peeled back the crimp ring? Hand Surgery, have you been self pleasuring yourself too much and wore-out the cartilage in your hand, haha.

Noteworthy Rich. Don't become too enamored, now that you said someone had already opened it, with your new found gift. Check for function first and a wild swing needle, should sweep with a bit of damping. NOT just flop side to side with a "TING". If someone fudged-up the mechanism, let me know. Run an old length of square tach cable in your drill in reverse, CCW, and watch the action. If needed i have spares of the 140mph (US) versions here if needed. You were only wanting the faceplate anyway.

Hi Clay,
Thank you!
Yes, the speedo had already been "opened" and simply reassembled with the accessory ring for the chrome cup... But Richard's main focus was on the scale and the km/h gear... and otherwise, the speedo looked okay enough to build something really good out of it...?!

Hi Richard,
Thank you! - I wish you a good recovery with your hand, and hope also, that this speedo will run well and full satisfactorily in the future!

Greetings, Joe

Hi guys, yes totally worn it out ha ha, I will be in this (photo) for a couple of weeks and then I hopefully get the stitches out
Unfortunately Clay, I will have to wait a little while to do the testing, but I would love to get bits from you to refurbish this gauge. As the awesome Joe said, it has been opened and the glass replaced, but is a great piece to restore. 👍👍👍.
Thanks guys 🙏👍
