Carbs

Tried to find the Vendor category but to no avail. Anyway, was previously allowed to peddle my wares but haven't taken advantage of it. I've been cleaning out all those Tupperware containers of finished/almost finished carb sets. Crap i've not seen for some, 10yrs. So i Have officially become what i really don't applaud, a Hoarder. I do crap that isn't readily available for your typical rebuild. These aren't ebay "parts" assemblies addled with issues never indicated before the sale and selling price will somewhat reflect this, Sorry. Not just Kawasaki stuff either, have stuff for most of the big 4. A few photos for reference. Inquire.         

Even crap for You DIY fellas. Stuff done you'd never of even thought of or non-accessible procedures for your location/budget. I have plating done in bulk or by a Great Friend, Wink! I've boxes of carb cores for this 217 series already done and could leisurely complete these two late 1974/early 1975 but that may not be what one would want? Cheaper this way for You.     

Some bits for the early KZ1000's. Like the 1974 Z1 also goes the 1977 KZ1000, split year. Using up components/inventory from previous year production. These are the earlier 1977 29910 Mikuni 26mm still using the holder bracket from a KZ900. Biggest problem with these is persons jammed that "fuel" brass pilot screw down soo far the tip got wedged in casting hole and broke off leaving the tip. The one set with loose carb was soo jammed, remnant just won't come out. Anyhoot, just another example X2. All the others just fine.         

This crap surely can be relevant and always dismissed. Not always about padding the coffers but puking procedures that will help You All. Those 79-80 KZ650/1000 pumper carbs. Always complicated and especially for someone that found one in a shed that was saddled with old fuel sitting for years. That #2 Bowl is the "heart/pumper" of the whole accel system but often riddled with issues that one can't see. Because delivery of fuel pumping begins sucking from very bottom, that's where all the crud develops when a bike has been abandoned for years. One can dip/ultrasound but you can't actually witness what's going on. Underneath that brass plug resides a singular ball bearing and spring. Just enough tension to keep the ball from bouncing and to retain it sealing ability to make it a proper check valve. Mikuni also pushed in a brass collar/sleeve that the ball bearing sealed aginst. Very similar to a float valve/needle assy. The whole premise of this simple check valve is to keep fuel within the piping for venturi nozzles or make it readily available at each twist of the throttle. Have found that the float needles off the Briggs and Stratton Vanguard TK carb spring can be used. And for those of You that thought Briggs was formally a "just" USA product think again. The Vanguards were built by a division of Toyota sourced by B and S, are pretty much bullet-proof. The Intek Briggs is a Huge pile of Shite. Of course built here in the usa, go figure ha.
