1983 KZ750 Spectre

Had this bike about 5 years now, although I haven't really ridden it in 3 or so. Originally put it together for my 70 year old dad to ride, but it turns out he doesn't feel like he can move fast enough to get his feet down at a stop. When I got it I put new Bridgestone Spitfire tires on and did a full servicing. All the lighting has been upgraded to LED with a Lithium battery and a Puig windscreen. The original ape-hangers have been replaced with a flatter bar with longer mirrors, but the original parts are also included. Has a bunch of extra parts and a Vetter fairing with AM/FM/Cassette (unknown of it works). Equipped with a shaft drive, front and rear disc brakes, and front/rear Showa air suspension that holds air nicely.

4750 original miles! She's an absolute beauty of a bike, the only real flaws being the flaked off engine paint.

Sadly the carburetors need overhaulling, a jet kit and screw kit are included. She fires right up and runs halfway decently, but does sputter a bit under load. The more I've been running it the better it gets. Also one of the carburetors drips a little from the overflow, so the float may be out of adjustment or the needle not seating right.

Located near Houghton MI in the Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Asking $2250

Good luck on Your sale! I wish Kawasaki Never painted those engines, Ugg. I do Honda engines that use the "Cloud Silver" paint. Wonder if there's a common match to that Spectre goldish color?

Thank you! Although, to be honest, I really won't be upset if it doesn't sell.

The painted engine does look awesome, but the paint does not hold up sadly.

Doesn't hold up? Considering it lives with wild temperature extremes and exposure to harsh chemicals and road debris, I'd say more than 40 years ain't bad.

I mean, when you put it that way...

Still, it's like the one thing that always draws my eye and bothers me.
