Hey Gang, just recieved this exhaust and noticed the rear mount is much farther rearward than any of the other 650 pipes I have seen on here. It reminds me of the style where a long brace was run from the top shock bolt down to the megaphone can.....could this be the same? It is definately a Kerker exhaust but does not have a badge OR any holes where a badge would have been on the meg. Anyone know of this?

Many thanks!

Ray Kelley

I have the same pipe. You are missing the hanger that goes from the top of the shock to the mounting tab. The only markings should be on the mounting tab and it will say "KERKER". Nice find! B)

On the mounting tab, there should be a stamped part number. You can e-mail Bruce @ Supertrapp This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. give him the number, and see which one you have. He helped me tremendously when sorting out the numbers for the complete GPz550 line, that, oh by the way are no longer being produced. :(

Luck you, they still list the numbers for your year 650:

KAW KZ650'77-80/750SP <'83,CHROME MEG #128-60650 $629
4:1 Ker KawKZ650 77-80, 750SP -83, black #127-60650 $499

The number on your silencer bracket may not match the number for the systems I listed above.

Thanks for pinning it down, guys I appreciate the help. Yes it does have Kerker stamped on the hanger brace, so this and the fact that it didn't have the outer badge means it's an older design (ie worth keeping even if it is suffering from a lot of header pipe/collector damage and a few holes?). I emailed the seller regarding it's condition and he has offered to take it back incl shipping.
My 650B2 is in near mint orig shape but I WANT a 4-1 Kerker (prefered) but , considering the pipes cond, I'm not sure if this pipe is the one for this bike! UGH.
