well one of the good things about the turbo is you could run a smaller motor and still make as much if not more power and still be drivable, but its not cheap;)or look at it this way what does it take to make a reliable legitimate 150 rwhp with a carbed bike, now what does it take to make 150rwhp with a turbo bike?

in order to make 150 hp on a carbed bike youre gonna need a 1327 a huge set of carbs and cams, lots of compression a really good head......and it will be a unreliable, overheating ,tempermental hand grenade that you have to run on race gas constantly.a 150 hp turbo on the other hand can be a 1075 with 8:1 compression, small turbo cams ,a mild head with small valves and no fancy valvetrain parts and a turbo that little 1075 turbo will tear that 180 rear tire a new one.and you can turn down the boost and drive it to church on sunday on pump gas.

And if you need any more convincing, look what a lowly 810 turbo can do to a big bore 13.5:1 1270cc ZX12R from 6500rpm upwards. Blue line is the 810, green line is the ZX12R.

yours is not a typical turbo though... ...it would take a lot of lucre to build a motor of any size with that kind of power, even with a turbo.

Depends what you call "a lot". My 810 cost about a third of what that 12R cost to build.
