Engine Gaskets

What's the general opinion on the quality of OEM gasket sets versus aftermarket? The reason I ask, is that I have an OEM set and a Vesrah set and am trying to decide which to use in the rebuild of my KZ200 engine...

Normally I wouldn't even question that the OEM quality would be higher, but I'm thinking gasket "technology" has changed over the years and maybe the newer aftermarket gasket set would work better?

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Chris

Vesrah is not a manufacturing company, but rather a marketing company. They go to the manufacturers in Japan that make product for the oem and get them to make it also packaged as Vesrah.

Therefore almost everything they sell is oem. We have never hesitated to sell and recommend the Vesrah product.

Thanks for the feedback Jay. The OEM gaskets I have came in the 70's Kawasaki green cardboard box and the material is definitely different from the Vesrah gaskets...
