how to using fittings from Klasmo
make your own fittings instead of buying them from Klasmo

OR use a gpz750 oil pan which cam with oil cooler fittings from the factory. hook up any oil cooler you want to it, or just use the whole gpz setup

I just happened to receive this rear fitting from a friend tonight at BikeNight. I found a M18 fine thread bolt and a friend offered to machine it. He added the hose fitting I gave him.

I will say it was tough for me to find the M18 fine (1.5mm pitch thread) thread bolt. Once you get into the larger sizes all I could find was a coarse thread. Fortunately I handle the hardware at my job, and the supplier got a freebie sample for me. I sent out a plea on our BikeNight forum in Oklahoma for a machinist to make the part.

Steve Underwood, known here on KZRider as DS2, offered to handle it and it looks great. He made a slight change in the waist section, leaving it a bit thicker. If you notice in the plans you drill an 8mm hole down the center, then turn the bolt down to 9mm in the waist section. That leaves a .5mm thick wall. That seemed a bit thin to me, so Steve made it thicker. I don't think the change will affect the oil flow at all.

It was easy and almost free, but that because I have a couple of great friends. But given the price from Klasmo I knew I could save some money. If you don't have a hardware or machining connection, go with the Klasmo fitting.
