I'm doing a top-end teardown of my GPz11 because it hadn't run in 16 years, and, anyway, it sounded fun. So, I've found that it needs new cam tensioner blocks and, since it has 34k miles on it, I'm thinking I'll replace the cam chain. Z1 sells the chain (multilink) with a master link, so I won't have to split the cases, but they also sell this funky tool www.z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=1693
for riviting the master link. Only problem is, $80 for something I'm going to use once (or maybe twice) before I lose it is :pinch: OUCH!!:pinch:
Is there an alternative?

pstrbrc!

Be also advised that, depending on the cam chain that you buy, it may be endless (but you also buy the master link too) and you'll need the special tool to split the new chain also. I bought the same tool from Jeff and it actually does split chains fairly easily...but I feel your pain (special tools with a single use):)
