Looking for an o ring for my oil pan and I saw this o ring.I put my bottomend together,and I dont remember this o ring,dont know where it goes,anybody?Its called a transmission bearing cap o ring

Dunno what it is called but it sure looks like the oring that is sandwiched between the cases that sits atop the oil pump journal.

I agree,I just dont recall this o ring in the tranny,its been more than ten years since Ive had a kz apart so I dont recall everything

You have to remove the oil pump to split the cases. The oring sits atop the lower case as the lower case will be pointing upwards when you split the cases, generally. It wouldn't much matter if the pump was in place or not. I think there is another oring associated with the pump directly where it fits to the cases but can't recall for sure.

I checked the manual and the only two places I see an O-ring like this are between the two case halves and where the oil pump bolts on, like WiredGeorge said. That's for a KZ1000.
