:angry: Ok my kaw emblem flew off my gen cover the other day,no biggie the kaw shop got me a brand new one for a nominal 35 bucks,now.....how the hell do you get the old glue off the cover,and what kinda glue will keep this new emblem stuck on there for years to come ?????:S

Try acetone. A garage without acetone is like a home without a woman. You know, for cleaning up after you.

superglue. Yeah, really. Betcha that's what they used originally. Just make sure you clean both surfaces well with rubbing alcohol.

acetone will dissolve the old glue on the sidecover, but will also dissolve the paint.

after i cleaned the rust inside my gas tank, i rinsed the inside with acetone to stop the flash rusting (acetone absorbs water), but the acetone spilled on the outside of the tank and smeared the paint.
