conecting rod oreintation??

Hi, all. Im putting my 77 650 engine back together, and I was wondering if there is a correct orentation for the conecting rods? each rod could go on the crank shaft in two possible orientations. Does this matter? or can they go on either way?
The manual that I have does not mention anything? Just want to make sure, before I button this thing up.

There is much debate as to if it matters. Some like the late Suzukis have the bearing tangs facing forward, some Yamahas they face to the rear.

Even if your manual doesn't say, it may have a photo that shows which way they face. I would just go with that.
