What is a good compression test result for a kz750 4cyl? How much difference in cyclinders is acceptable? Thanks in advance for the knowledge! I'm looking to replace instead of rebuild my engine.

150 to 170 is good, anything down to 110 is drivable, should be no more than 10% difference between the highest and lowest.

are your valves adjusted, did you try some oil in cylinder?i would rather do a top-end and know what i have than buy a used motor not knowing the history of it,unless its really cheap dont forget what its gonna cost you to ship a motor also. ;)

Search for a member named smithgpz and e-mail him, it's been a long time since he posted so I doubt a PM will work.
He is in Columbus and might be of some assistance.

I will do that. I'm not beaten yet! I started scanning the classifieds for another whole bike, thought maybe I could find one in poor shape but with a good engine. Thanks again for the lead.
