Heya folks, don't have the most experience with the big bore kits but...

My 82 1000J needs rings, got about 60K miles on it, most likely gonna need to go 1st over as well seeing I'm going though about a quart of oil a week.

Here's my question, I can get a Wiseco 1075 kit ALOT cheaper than OEM Kaw pistons, rings, etc.
Will the 1075 kit reduce the reliability of the bike or does anyone have a good deal of experience with em and know if it will be about the same as stock.

To let ya know I also ride about 50 miles a day to work round trip so figure about 300 miles a week I ride it.

I already plan to do the valves, and cam chain (chain, guides, etc)

Any opinions?

1075 is a very common overbore, but before you buy a kit id check the bores first to make sure what you have to have first.;)

That kit (K1076) is very reliable. We have done them for the California Highway Patrol, and several other police departments.
