Hello,
what options are out there for a 4-2 exhaust system? Or better anyone knows about a 4-4 ever built and available to purchase?

I don't think there are a lot of 4-2 or 4-4 options available.
There are some aftermarket mufflers, if your headers are in decent shape.
We'll have to wait for someone who has done this comes along.
Me, I usually go for a 4 into 1 exhaust system.
Delkevic being one, offering a Stainless steel exhaust, with a variety of mufflers.

I thought so.
About the 4-1 delkevic, should you have to re-jets the carbs?

I believe not with a standard air-box

MAC 4 into 2 with megaphone mufflers. Jardine also made a similar system but no one ever offered a 4 into 4 exhaust for these bikes.

You use to be able to find them on Ebay but I bought this one thru my local dealer. A lot of motorcycle parts distributors use to sell them.

I think I paid $360 for it in 2011 and it took 8 weeks for it to show up.

If your stock down pipes are still good and you want to stay with OEM look then the Dunstall style ones are very close to the originals.

Custom KZ1000 header pipes with 27" universal mufflers on a Z1 engine swap. Built like the MAC system but adapted to the engine and chassis.
