Thankyou. Not familiar with using Ceracoat, this stuff needs several light coats to grip the surface then it builds nicely. Did the wheels and some miscellaneous parts with it. The gloss I’m told has been changed and it doesn’t seem to adhere  well any more.
Hope to post some pics of it finished in the next 2 weeks, been 8 years coming.
The below is 2 coats of Cerekote straight onto a freshly blasted surface. Your timescale makes me feel better about the 4 years I have been at it (should also be complete in the coming weeks) Yours is definitely looking like a future BOTM

The coating looks very nice. I keep on saying I should try it somtime.

You should indeed, this project is the first time I've used it and I love it. Covers really well and lays down nicely, time will tell but I've never really been happy with high temp paints so it will be interesting to see how this holds up. (I also used their clear on my carb bodies so hopefully they will be easy to keep clean)

Don't know if it's relevant to anyone using that Dupli-color paint or not but i've been experiencing issues with it, newest can/formula. Painted these switchblock shells with what i have used for years, Low Gloss Black, same Dupli Color paint. Thing is they just won't dry, after 5 days paint is still tacky. No goofy high humidity or other environmental painting differences i've successfully completed before. Bizzare.. Not a biggie on these little things but if you're doing a whole engine with equivalent paint, spot test first  !!
