72mm XN Rings

Having some difficulty finding a set of rings, 72mm XN for a Z1R D3 motor with a 1075 kit. Pistons are MTC. Any help on a source or where to find them? Manufacturer isn’t sure they can get them and I’ve only found them on Orient Express, but they cancelled the order due to lack of availability 

You could measure the rings (thickness, width etc) and post the sizes here, maybe someone can assist with an alternative. I have just bought a set of 72mm Wiseco rings for my build (which were readily available) "who knows" ??

Make sure you measure the ring lands as some older piston sets are smaller than the XN sizes (mine were)

MTC will even cut the ring lands to whatever size you need, they quoted me $23 a piston back in 2021.

I ended up cutting mine on my own to match the XN sizes then I sourced NPR rings online.

There are several ring makers that are cheaper than MTC (NPR, Hastings, Perfect Circle, etc) You can cross reference the bore and thickness in there online catalog to find out what make and size of engine. Lots of cheap NOS ring sets on Ebay.

Mine for a 76mm bore 1197cc were for a Nissan 1600.

If your ring lands are truly XN size (.059"x.059"x.110") then these should fit :

 

From the NPR catalog. Its a little sub 1 liter engine so not too popular.

They are $26 a set (1 piston) out of India. Maybe see if you can order direct from NPR of America to avoid a Tarrif charge.
