KZ900/1000 Rotor noise

Joe, what the email contents referred to. That Y in the manufacture of these rotors, they detach. Very hard to detect visually from the facing view but more pronounced by a rear inspection. Gotta look really close!! If the weird noise is indeed coming from the stator housing, i've plenty of good stuff for spares but can't stuff those in a birthday card, ha.    

Clay (asphalt900) identified something in another post which I have moved here so that it will be easier for you guys to find with the "search" function if you need it. There is no substitute for many years of experience, thanks Clay

Yes, Clay, i`ve seen many rotors like you`ve shown above in the last 40+ years, some better, some more worse,..but mine is ok, nothing to see, nothing to "feel", no loose anywere!.....the problem is a little too much play about the needle bearing running on crank under the big starter flywheel...!

But again, many thanks to thinkin`about the problem and help with some different perspectives and ideas!
