Hello fellow kz riders, my bike has been making a ticking sound. It doesn't sound all the time. Sometimes it starts after I run with her for a while and other times just as I take off.
I go to the mechanic, get there, they turn on the bike they give it some revs and they ask me '¿Where's the sound? I don't hear anything' lol
There's also a 'friction' sound that can be heard in the video like mechanical parts making contact. From my incomplete mechanical ignorance they don't seem to be conected because one sound can appear sometimes without the other and the other way around.
This friction sound also happens when I'm using the bike, then I stop at a traffic light and the sound starts beign more noticeable and the bike will die down and stall if I don't give it some gas. It doesn't happen everytime I stop either, just some times. I've had it happen on the first stop sign I've encountered and also after highway speeds and then coming to a stop.
I've been looking through the forum and the most common things I've read are 'exhaust leak, cam chain/cam chain tensioner, valve clearance, carburetor needs to be tuned'
I'm in the process of finding a new mechanic shop I'm a new rider and I'm scared they won't know how to work with the kz since it's a rare model here and the only manual available is in english (I live in Spain)
While I'm searching for a mechanic shop I've bought a manual tensioner and new cam chain just in case.
