Is the clutch attachment supposed to be like this on my kz250 LTD from the 80s?

Is this normal clutch activity for a 1980 kz250 LTD? Something doesn't feel right about this shouldn't it snap back into place? IL put a link for a YouTube short cause it's not letting me upload a video here.

Your clutch release mechanism gear isn´t attached to the clutch push rod gear.
Try to get the KZ200 service manuals from the file base i have uploaded a long time ago.
