Your OP was an inquiry to get leads for a complete engine rebuild. You received several legitimate researchable recommendations and some thoughtful suggestions.

Then you posted you were quoted $5k for a top end rebuild. You asked if this was in line with what DFIGPZ would charge. You received again members recommending that’s too much.

Now in your last post you say the $5k was for a complete engine rebuild with all new components, and included wiring, and tuning on a dyno, which included a 30,000 mile warranty.

How can you expect thoughtful correct answers if the information you give is constantly changing.

Not a single member used the tone and words you did. I’d say the flaming came from your side. And definitely a FO was not needed.

Good luck with your project.

I have a local guy who does my porting and boring. He is semi retired but had/has a Top Fuel Bike, he refuses to build motors as its too much liability. I build my own, time my own cams... the 650 I built before he came into the picture. That magneto I got off him, it was on his first injected bike. This guy has built hundreds of race motors, very similar guy to L.C.

I know a guy in Arizona. He works in sales now - mainly bridges - but used to be a bike tech.

Yep, got that. I was born in the UK (Glasgow) so I recognize the sentiment.

I am up in Canada so that is near enough the newer UK, The Queen loved it here.

you would be suprised how much time you get into good top end rebuild more time spent cleaning parts, gaskets etc, now to do half assed job and throw it together now that is another story.

I completely agree that there is "doing a job" and "doing a job" however I still believe (IMHO) that for around $4k in labour alone, I would want a "hoard of Amazonian virgins" to lick the dirt from between the fins
