Piston Ring Set

I'm looking on partzilla and there are are a few different sets.
Do i need the RING SET,PISTON,STD or the RING SET,0.040in.,O.S.? The .020 is sold out.

Do your pistons have a number on top? If not they are standard, if they have +1 or 20 they are first bore oversize. If they have +2 or 40 they are second bore oversize.

Z1000J2 somewhat modified!

I will have to clean the pistons up a bit before i can see any numbers! They are pretty bad!

before you buy pistons rings measure the cylinder bores to make sure they aren't oval or tapered, and check the pistons to cylinder clearance. if they are out of spec you will need to overbore.
