Paper Gasket

When I took off the cover today was it wet inside... maybe condensation. It looks like the paper gasket have transported the water from outside?
When I installed the gasket I was not doing anything with the gasket it self.....

Now sprayed some silicon spray on it...

What are you doing to avoid water / condensation ?

1981 KZ650-D4, with 1981 z750L engine (Wiensco 810 big bore).

Under the gasket, ignition cover, should be a vent gap/bore @ 6 o´clock Position to drain the water/moisture.

Maybe smart to install some Silica Gel also ? :)

Was so lucky to be father some months ago, so haven’t been so much driving :) but will go for 3 days trip on Friday :)
