Good day all friends :)

My start engine is working fine, but I don’t know when it was overhauled....

Is there a good plan to overhaul it when I have time? Can it just stop working quick/sudenly?

Unless you are revving it above redline it is extremely unlikely that your KZ650 engine will just break. If it does I suspect it will be the first one in history to do that. Ed

'Start engine' ?? Are you talking about the bike 'engine' ? I took it that you were talking about the 'starter motor.'

I was wondering about the «starter motor», not the engine itself (is rebuild top end alteady).

A starter motor can be rebuilt. The wear parts are the motor brushes and perhaps the bushing for the commutator shaft. I've changed brushes...it's not a difficult task.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Rebuilding a starter motor is good therapy. If it ain't broken, start looking for a used starter, all four cyl Z650-Z750 shared basically the same starter with small differences, but they fit.
So ctc one of bike breakers in Norway or Sweden or hunt it down on Blocket, Finn or Ebay.
